Hey Fam!!
Last week Elder McQueen and I were out teachin the word of God when we came across a guy who spoke English. He invited us into his house. Turns out he had just returned from Cali where he had been living and working for the last few years. Really cool guy. He is the tree hugger type but super cool. haha  He listened to our message and had some good questions but it’s gonna be a few years before he accepts a baptism date.  But what was really different, was that we taught him in English! It was super weird. I have never taught in English, always in Spanish.  Elder McQueen and I always talk in English but hearing myself teach in English was funny. It was a cool experience.

Mijael lives down here alone. He has family but they live back in the states. And now he is headed to Mexico to do some car business. Who knows, he might come one day and if he does he will definitely visit!

It is rough when it feels like the people don’t progress. But that’s when we have to do all we can to help them and let the Lord do the rest. We just keep looking forward!!

Hope you all have a great week!!   I love you all!!

Hello Fam!!
So last week I met a Jewish man. But not any ordinary Jew. This 45 year old Jewish man is named Mijael. He was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints a few months ago. He is from Israel, born and raised Jewish. He spent a lot of time in New York City. He came down here to get away from the big city life. (His mom owns a large diamond firm in NYC). He is a man with more faith than anyone I know. We were talking a little. The Jews have a history of thousands of years. The LDS Church only about 200 years. He said everything we do in this church is by faith. When he told his family he was going to be baptized they cut him off completely. His mom cut him off from all financial help and hasn’t said anything to him since he was baptized. He has very little contact with anyone else from his family. But he has the truth.  He said he has been translating the Book of Mormon into Hebrew.

Let’s take some time and think about what we really have. How blessed we really are to have this Gospel and families that support us. I love you all for the great support that you give me.

Thanks for all you do!! I love you mom and say hello to the fam for me!!
